BJJ & SURF CAMP

The first Let's Roll BJJ & Surf Camp of 2025 is going to take place in Peniche, Portugal - one of the most famous surf regions of Europe. As our Instructors we are happy to host non less than B-Team Coach Dima Murovanni and ADCC silver-medalist Jay Rod from the B-Team. The camp will heavily focus on developing a dominant top-game.

Justin Flores

Maxamilian Schneider

Jacob Rodriguez is a professional grappler and former folkstyle/scholastic wrestler who is known for his aggressive and submission-oriented style of grappling. After winning the ADCC West-Coast Trials in 2022, he became a ADCC silver-medalist in 2024 by showing a stunning performance.

Last camp we were pleased to welcome on the mats Margot Ciccarelli (ADCC European Trials champion and IBJJF European champion) and Faris Ben-Lamkadem (3x IBJJF Open champion) as special guests beside our instructors. So stay tuned, who is joining us at the year's camp!

City

Peníche is a coastal city in Portugal located along the Atlantic Ocean. Known for its stunning beaches, it is a famous spot for surfing. The town has a rich maritime history, with a charming historic center and a picturesque harbor. Peníche is also famous for its nearby Berlengas Islands, a nature reserve that offers hiking, birdwatching, and pristine landscapes.

Gym

The BJJ sessions will take place on the mats of "Carlos Gracie Jiu Jitsu Peniche". The gym is placed just a 5 minute walk from the ocean. The full address is:

Accomodation

The package "camp + accomodation" comes with a single-room a Hotel, which offers an outdoor pool, a seasonal bicycle rental, a barbecue area, Wi-Fi, and a living room with a pool table. The hotel is just a 15-minute walk from the training location as well as the beach. Breakfast is included. There is also the option to book a studio for a group of three.

Flying to Portugal

Lisbon / Porto

If your travel by plane and your destination is Peniche, you can opt to book your flights to Lisbon or Porto Airports.The nearest international airport is Lisbon and is about 90 km south from Peniche. Most bigger European cities are have direct flights to Lisbon, most of budget airlines offer flights at good fare

How to get to Peniche

from Lisbon Airport by bus

If you don't have a car, taking the bus is the easiest way to get there. Buses usually run every hour between Peniche and Lisbon. The fare is about 4-7, - € and the trip takes just 1 1/2 hours. Getting from Lisbon to Peniche by bus is so convenient, easy and inexpensive that a private airport pick-up is rarely worth it.

Sete Rios bus station sells tickets at the counter in the station, just a few steps from platform 1. On the Rapida Azul buses, you buy the ticket directly from the driver. (Buying tickets online or in advance is unnecessary and not cheaper than on the spot).

The bus station "Sete Rios" can be reached directly from the airport with the Aeroshuttle number 96. The ride costs €3.50 and takes about 15 minutes. Taxi is relatively cheap and the trip from the airport to Sete Rios would costs about €10. So if you share a cab with a friend, you will not pay more than by taking the public transport. To the bus station called "Campo Grande", taking the taxi is always the best solution. This bus station is only 10 minutes drive from Lisbon airport and usually does not cost more than €7.
